Artist's Description

This vintage building, constructed in 1911, by R. Dulin, served as a department store, and recently housed the public library, which was moved due to unsafe structural faults within the building. According to local news, an expert from the Historical Society has inspected the building to determine the extent of damages, and the possibility of receiving funding to assist with the renovation/restoration of the structure. Hopefully, if/when repairs are made, they do not disturb the historic painted signage on the exterior of the building. Downtown, Madisonville, Kentucky.

A slight painterly effect has been applied to this image.
