Brick steps, weathered wooden doors, and a painted, wrought iron alley gate provide interesting entrances to private residences along a side street in the French Quarter. A rusty foundation vent forged with intricate scalloping is a testament to the age of the structures which line the historical streets. Numerous architectural designs can be found along almost every street.
