Local artists, palm readers, souvenir vendors, casual observers, and tourists, start filling the open area across from St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square, New Orleans, Louisiana. Some escape the bright sunshine by sitting under large, colorful umbrellas, waiting for the tourists to peruse their wares, and possibly make a donation or purchase something as a remembrance of their visit.
